It was a Super Bowl for the ages.
The New England Patriots, down 28-3 to the Atlanta Falcons in the third quarter, came back to win in overtime 34-28.
The Patriots’ Tom Brady made history, becoming the only NFL quarterback to win five Super Bowls.
Around 70 fans gathered at LB Distillers in Saskatoon for the 650 CKOM viewing party hosted by football analyst Glen Suitor.
“Tom Brady is the master,” said Patriots’ fan Darren Dale. “Best game I’ve ever seen in sports besides maybe the ’89 Grey Cup.”
The teams ended the fourth tied at 28 points, moving the Super Bowl into the first overtime in the championship’s 51-year history.
The Patriots won the coin toss and clinched the win with a touchdown.
“It was an outstanding game,” Dale said. “Tom Brady just added to his legacy.”
Lady Gaga performed during the half-time show and country star Luke Bryan performed the national anthem.
