Four people have been charged in connection with an incident that sent a 22-year-old woman to hospital on Jan. 30.
The Regina Police Service said Monday a 17-year-old girl, a 17-year-old boy and two 19-year-old men had been arrested and charged with aggravated assault.
On Jan. 30 just before 7 p.m., officers responded to the area near the intersection of Park Street and Victoria Avenue for a report of an assault.
Witnesses told police five people in a car pulled up beside a woman who was walking along the street.
“After a brief verbal exchange, the five suspects got out of the vehicle and began assaulting the female victim,” the police said in a media release. “The suspects then fled in the same vehicle, leaving the victim unconscious on the ground.”
The woman was taken to hospital for treatment.
On Saturday, four people were charged with aggravated assault. Officers also determined the victim’s bank card had been stolen, leading to a charge of theft under $5,000 against each of the two 19-year-olds.
