A traffic stop has led to an arrest connected with an armed robbery in Assiniboia, Sask.
Assiniboia RCMP pulled over a vehicle around 10:30 p.m. Friday. Officers found amounts of marijuana and cocaine along with a prohibited weapon in the vehicle. Devon Kinchen, 20, of Limerick, was arrested and charged.
Evidence collected during the traffic stop resulted in charges against a 19-year-old man and 25-year-old man for an armed robbery on the 200 block of 1st Street East in Assiniboia on Jan. 9, 2017.
RCMP confirm Billy Klassen, 19, of Lefleche, has been charged with armed robbery.
RCMP are still looking for Khaled Al-Nadi, 25, of Assiniboia, in connection with the robbery. An arrest warrant has been issued for Al-Nadi. He is charged with, among other things, trafficking a scheduled substance, armed robbery, and possession of a prohibited weapon.
Kinchen and Klassen appeared in provincial court in Moose Jaw Monday.
