The owners of a Saskatoon bar say they will go to court to fight a recent fine for violating COVID-19 rules.
The province announced on Wednesday that Bud’s on Broadway had been fined $14,000 for failing to abide by public health orders.
The business responded to the ticket on social media Thursday, saying it was “unfairly cited for a spacing regulations.”
“Health Authorities were in two weeks prior to the fine for a random inspection and confirmed all tables and spacing were in compliance,” said the bar in a Facebook post.
“Then two weeks later they returned and fined us on spacing violations when no spacing changes had been made from the prior inspection.”
Owners and management stated they are following and complying with all COVID-19 regulations.
