Saskatchewan is reporting three new deaths related to COVID-19, along with 163 new cases and 52 recoveries Saturday.
In its daily update, the Ministry of Health also said there are 142 people in hospital across the province.
All three deaths were located in the Saskatoon area. One death was reported in the 50 to 59 age group, a person in the 70 to 79 age group and one person in the 80-plus age category.
The new cases are located in the Regina (58), Saskatoon (34), north-central (20), far northeast (14), central-east (12), northwest (10), the far northwest (four), southeast (four), northeast (three), central-west (one), and southwest (one) zones.
Two cases are pending hometown information, and an additional 12 cases were assigned to the far northwest (five), Regina (three), north-central (three) and northwest (one) zones. Two cases were found to be out-of-province and were removed from the counts.
The seven-day average of daily new cases is 155, or 12.7 per 100,000 population.
There have been 27,584 recoveries so far and 1,613 cases are considered active.
There were 2,744 COVID-19 tests processed Friday.
As of Saturday, there are 120 people receiving inpatient care. Twenty-two people are in intensive care in the Saskatoon (10), Regina (nine), north-central (two) and central-east (one) zones.
Vaccines
An additional 3,577 COVID-19 vaccine doses have been given in Saskatchewan.
The total number of vaccines administered in the province is 90,456.
The 3,577 doses of COVID-19 vaccine reported Saturday were administered in the northwest (821), north-central (967), Saskatoon (909), central-east (44), Regina (826) and southeast (10) zones.
