The family of a missing 15-year-old boy from Regina is offering a $100,000 reward for information about his whereabouts.
Jaxon MacDonald was last seen at around 12:30 a.m. on Sunday, leaving a residence/cottage on foot in the Jubilee subdivision of Duck Mountain Provincial Park. He was walking to a residence/cottage in the same subdivision.
MacDonald is described as being 5-foot-6 with a slim build, brown hair, blue eyes and braces. He was wearing a black hoodie, black Adidas pants and black running shoes when he was last seen.
According to the Mounties, about 100 people from the Kamsack detachment, RCMP Police Dog Services, search and rescue teams and the Kamsack Fire Department have been joined by members of the public in the search, which is being conducted on land and by air.
Searchers are going door to door, but the RCMP noted many of the properties at the park are seasonal. Anyone who has property at Duck Mountain Provincial Park who would like the RCMP to check to confirm MacDonald isn’t on their land or in a building can call the Kamsack RCMP at 1-306-542-5560.
“Temperatures dropped to -10 C ambient overnight Sunday and Jaxon was not dressed appropriately for the weather,” the RCMP said in a media release. “Police and Jaxon’s family are concerned for his wellbeing.”
Anyone with information about MacDonald’s whereabouts is asked to call the Kamsack RCMP or Saskatchewan RCMP at 310-RCMP.
