The University of Regina is preparing to send its students and professors online.
In a media release late Tuesday, the university announced it was moving temporarily to remote learning starting next Monday.
“In response to Regina’s heightened rates of COVID-19 infections, including cases involving variants of concern, and the Government of Saskatchewan’s latest public health orders for Regina and area, the University of Regina will temporarily pause face-to-face delivery of classes,” the release said.
Classes that now are offered in person are to move to remote instruction Monday. Face-to-face classes tentatively are to resume April 12 for those students who are on campus.
“Only a limited number of students have been participating in low-density, face-to-face course components on campus this semester,” the school said.
The campus will be available to students who may require access to WiFi or individual study spaces. Access to the buildings on campus will be monitored and the current entrance restrictions and operating hours will remain in effect.
