TORONTO — Adam Brooks scored the winner on the power play in the third period as the Toronto Marlies edged the Stockton Heat 4-3 in American Hockey League action on Monday.
Nic Petan, Timothy Liljegren and Tyler Gaudet also scored for the Marlies (9-8-0-1).
Adam Ruzicka, Colton Beck and Connor Mackey scored for the Heat (9-8-1-0).
The Toronto Maple Leafs and Calgary Flames’ farm clubs are now tied for second in the Canadian Division, 11 points behind the Laval Rocket (Montreal Canadiens).
The Marlies host the Heat again on Wednesday.
