Regina police have charged a man following a shooting that wounded an 18-year-old man on Feb. 22, 2017.
Officers were called to a home on the 1300 block of Athol Street for a report of an injured man around 3:30 p.m.
When police arrived, they found the 18-year-old with an apparent gunshot wound. EMS took the victim to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Police searched the home and found a sawed-off shotgun and ammunition.
On Feb. 24, police arrested 18-year-old Coltin Darcy McCallister, of Regina. He was charged with possession of a loaded or restricted firearm, discharging a firearm with intent, careless use of a prohibited firearm, possession of a firearm knowing its possession is unauthorized, possession of a prohibited firearm obtained by crime and possession of an illegal substance.
McCallister was scheduled to appear in court in Regina on Feb. 27.
