Residential sales in the Regina-area took a slide in February compared with the year before.
The Association of Regina Realtors said there were 170 sales reported during the month in all geographic areas, down 19 per cent from 2016 when reported sales reached 210.
The number of sales were below the five year average of 191 and 10 year average of 241 for the month. It was the lowest number of sales for February in the last 10 years.
There were 144 residential sales reported in Regina, a drop of 18 per cent from 2016.
The association said 338 homes have been sold in all geographic areas in 2017. That’s a decline of 5 per cent compared with the first two months of 2016, when there were 355 sales reported.
The average sales price in all market areas for February was $300,874, down 3 per cent from $308,948 in 2016. The average in the city was $300,664, also down 3 per cent from last year’s $309,477.
