Saskatoon police have laid a murder charge in the death of an 18-year-old woman.
A passerby discovered the body of an unidentified young woman off Cedar Villa Estates Road, just southwest of Saskatoon on March 25, 2015.
Days later, police identified the woman as Brittany Gargol after sharing pictures of her unique tattoos on Facebook.
On Tuesday, police said they made an arrest following nearly two years of investigation.
A 20-year-old woman has been charged with second-degree murder and causing an indignity to a body in Gargol’s death.
In a news release, police said the accused and Gargol knew each other.
The woman is due to appear in Saskatoon Provincial Court Wednesday morning.
