The RCMP’s Major Crime Unit North and the Estevan Police Service are investigating the murder of a 55-year-old man in that city.
According to a media release, the Estevan Police Service got a call Monday at about 6:30 p.m., that Angelo Galido didn’t show up for work that day.
At about 10:30 p.m., officers found Galido dead inside his house in the 800 block of Henry Street.
An autopsy done Tuesday determined Galido had been murdered. Police said the cause of death wouldn’t be released as it’s part of the investigation.
Officers determined Galido had last been seen at a business off Highway 39 on Friday at approximately 10 p.m. Police now are trying to determine where Galido was from Friday night until his body was discovered Monday, and if there was any suspicious activity near his house during that time frame.
Anyone with information is asked to call the Estevan Police Service at 306-634-4767, their local RCMP detachment or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
The RCMP said there will be an increased police presence around Henry Street for the rest of the week.
