The number of active COVID-19 cases being reported in Saskatchewan dropped to an eight-month low Monday.
In its daily update, the Ministry of Health reported 48 new cases, 79 recoveries and two deaths. The number of active cases fell to 711, the lowest it has been since it was 707 on Oct. 29.
The number of hospitalizations dropped to 76, the lowest that number has been since it was 76 on Nov. 18.
The province also announced it was going back to a 48-hour reporting period for new vaccinations instead of the 24-hour format it had been using over the weekend. As a result, the number of new vaccinations reported was just 961, leaving the province’s total just under one million — at 998,779.
