There’s been a sad end to the search for a man who went missing in Lake Diefenbaker on Canada Day.
On Thursday, the Hutterian Emergency Aquatic Response Team (HEART) reported to Elbow RCMP that they had found a deceased person in Lake Diefenbaker during a search they were conducting.
Elbow RCMP and Saskatchewan Ministry of Environment Conservation Officers attended the scene and recovered the body.
It was confirmed to be a 36-year-old man who did not resurface after jumping in the lake to help his children July 1.
The name of the man will not be released. His family has been notified.
