The province reported 43 new cases of COVID-19 in Saskatchewan Monday.
The new cases are located in the following zones: far northwest (12), far north-central (one), far northeast (20), north-central (one), Saskatoon (five), south-central (one) and southwest (one)
Two cases are pending residence information. One case previously tested out-of-province was added to the Saskatoon zone.
There is a total of 49,727 cases with 48,792 cases recoveries and 356 cases considered active.
One new death was reported today in the 40 to 49 age group from the northwest zone.
There are 55 people in hospital — 45 are receiving inpatient care in the far northwest (one) northwest (six) north-central (four) Saskatoon (16), Regina (15), south-central (two), and southeast (one).
Ten people are in intensive care in the north-central (one) Saskatoon (six) and Regina (three).
The seven-day average of new COVID-19 case number is 38, or 3.2 new cases per 100,000.
Vaccination update
An additional 2,542 doses of COVID-19 vaccine have been given in Saskatchewan, bringing the total number of vaccines administered in the province to 1,388,330.
Vaccines were given in the far northwest (73), far north-central (one), far northeast (16), northwest (108), north-central (127), northeast (29), Saskatoon (910), central-west (42), central-east (178), Regina (760), southwest (43), south-central (84) and southeast (76) zones.
There were 95 doses administered without a known hometown.
Seventy-four per cent of those 12 and older have received their first dose and 62 per cent of those 12 and older are fully vaccinated, according to the provincial daily update.
