I believe there would have been a call had Chris Kunitz, Ian Cole or even sniper Evgeni Malkin, who leads the Penguins in penalties, slashed Methot.
Stars get preferential treatment in the NHL. Thursday’s incident wasn’t the first time such a thing has happened, and it won’t be the last.
