11:00 – A global microchip shortage is affecting the number of new vehicles available for purchase in Canada, and it’s led to higher prices, particularly when it comes to light trucks. According to the AutoTrader Price Index, the average price for used vehicles increased almost 10% year-over-year, while new vehicle prices increased by 1.6%. The cost of a new car has dropped, while new trucks and SUVs experienced steady increases.
