Some people who took the shuttle bus to the Saskatchewan Roughriders game Aug. 6 could be at risk of catching COVID.
In a news release Sunday, the Saskatchewan Health Authority said that at least one person who was infectious took the bus from Birmingham Vodka and Ale House to Mosaic Stadium at 6:30 p.m., and was on the shuttle back to Birmingham’s at 11:30 p.m.
It recommends that anyone who was on that bus should self-monitor for symptoms of the virus. According to the health authority, if those people start to feel sick, they should self-isolate and get tested.
Contact tracing has been a challenge for this case, since it was a busy bus.
“If you choose to ride a shuttle or a bus at this time, please note the number of the shuttle or bus, where you were sitting (row and seat) and wear a mask. This is useful information for contact tracing and can help avoid situations like this in the future,” it recommended.
The individual, or individuals, who tested positive were located near the front of the bus, according to the health authority.
