On Saturday, police reported a busier day, beginning at noon with extra vehicles and many more people attending, in part due to crowds leaving Mosaic Stadium following the Riders game against Ottawa. A man was arrested for intoxication and a girl was arrested for breaching curfew and alcohol conditions. A few fights were reported, but combatants reportedly dispersed on their own before police arrived or were ejected from the park.
Two teen boys were arrested and charged in connection with the bear spray incident on Saturday as well.
The opening of the QCX was delayed Sundy due to rain, but numbers increased after 6 p.m., police said.
A man attempted to climb gates at the park twice and was arrested for intoxication. A woman who was intoxicated was reported as an unwanted guest.
Regina police thank the public for their trust and cooperation during the first portion of the fair, as well as EMS, the Regina Exhibition Association Limited and QCX ambassadors and security staff for their work protecting public safety over the weekend.
