'Considering the circumstances ... this is best-case scenario,' Cole Cusitar said.
One person is dead after a house fire in the village of Madison Wednesday.
Police said responding officers, along with the Kindersley and Eston Fire Departments, responded to a home in the community of Madison, roughly 40 km south of Kindersley around 2:30 a.m.
Upon arrival, the house was fully engulfed in flames. Later that morning firefighters found one person inside the home, dead.
The house was not destroyed by the fire and the Kindersley RCMP are working with the Saskatchewan Coroners Service to determine the identity of the victim. Preliminary police investigations have them believing the victim is the owner of the house.
Kindersley RCMP and Saskatchewan Public Safety Agency fire investigators are working on figuring out what happened.
