The province reported 369 new cases of COVID-19 on Saturday, along with one new death.
Saturday’s case count is the highest since Jan. 15 and the third-highest of the year.
Over a third (38.5 per cent) of new cases were those between the ages of 20 to 39 years old.
With the additional death, the province’s death toll is at 597. The deceased was located in the Regina zone.
Saskatchewan’s active case count has grown to 1,987.
A look at the numbers
The new cases were located in the Far North West (nine), Far North Central (two), Far North East (41), North West (35), North Central (65), North East (24), Saskatoon (112), Central West (six), Central East (six), Regina (22), South West (three), South Central (eight) and South East (nine) zones.
Locations of 27 new cases have yet to be confirmed.
The seven-day average of new cases is 210 or 17.4 new cases per 100,000 people.
There are 110 people in hospital.
Eighty-five inpatient hospitalizations are distributed as follows: Far North West (three), North Central (26), North East (three), North West (six), Regina (10), Saskatoon (34), South Central (two), and South East (one).
Intensive care admissions are at 25, located in the North Central (seven), Regina (five) and Saskatoon (13) zones.
The province says of these 110 patients, 81 or 73.6 per cent of them were not fully vaccinated.
Another 2,671 doses of COVID-19 vaccine have been administered. Of these, 1,049 were first doses while the total number of those fully vaccinated grew by 1,622.
In total, 1,472,272 doses have been given, with 692,313 residents fully vaccinated.
