There’s a new entrance to Regina’s drive-through COVID-19 testing site at Evraz Place.
Starting Tuesday, the site in the International Trade Centre is to be accessed via the entrance at Lewvan Drive and 11th Avenue. The entrance previously was on Dewdney Avenue.
When people go through the new entrance, they’ll be asked by the booth attendant if they’re there for symptomatic/close contact testing or for asymptomatic testing.
In a media release, the Saskatchewan Health Authority said testing is prioritized toward people with COVID symptoms and close contacts.
“While Saskatchewan Health Authority teams work incredibly hard to provide test results in a timely manner, it can be challenging for the SHA to guarantee PCR test results for asymptomatic travellers or event goers in under 72 hours, due to transportation and processing times,” the SHA said in the release.
“If you require proof of a negative test before you travel or before attending an event, we strongly recommend seeking user-pay COVID-19 asymptomatic testing through a private lab where you pay a fee to ensure priority testing and result turnaround time is within your required timeline.”
The SHA reminded people that if they need proof of vaccination or details on the vaccines they received, they should log in to their MySaskHealthRecord account at ehealthsask.ca.
