In the waning days of the federal election campaign, NDP leader Jagmeet Singh paid another trip to Saskatchewan.
On Saturday morning, Singh was in Saskatoon, where there are three ridings up for grabs.
According to 338Canada, two of them are trending towards Conservative blue once again, with Saskatoon-Grasswood projected as “CPC likely” and Saskatoon-University projected as “CPC leaning.”
However, Saskatoon West is projected as a toss up between the Conservatives and NDP, where the New Democrat candidate is Robert Doucette, a local advocate and former president of the Metis Nation of Saskatchewan.
I'm honoured by the health care workers who took the time to join @RobertDoucette_ and me in Saskatoon today.
After everything they've sacrificed, these brave frontline workers deserve better than the neglect they've faced under Liberal and Conservative governments. pic.twitter.com/A0muHa2Wj0

In a news release, Singh made note of how the fourth wave of the pandemic is hitting prairie provinces especially hard, pinning the blame on Liberal leader Justin Trudeau and United Conservative Party Premier Jason Kenney.
Later that day, Singh paid a visit to the Regina Industrial School cemetery, where more than 30 children were buried, meeting with Indigenous leaders and youth.
After that, he sat with youth outside The Moose and Bannock restaurant for a roundtable discussion.
