A 21-year-old Regina man has been charged in relation to a fatal hit-and-run that occurred in the city Friday.
Tyrell James Hume is facing one charge of failing to stop after a collision resulting in death. He was to appear before a justice Monday.
The collision happened at about 11 p.m., in the area of Sixth Avenue and Hamilton Street. A 67-year-old Regina woman was reportedly crossing from the south side of Sixth Avenue when she was hit by a vehicle that was northbound on Broad Street.
The vehicle turned west on Sixth and left the scene.
The victim was taken to hospital, where she died. Her name wasn’t released by police.
On Monday, Regina police officers found the vehicle and arrested the man who was believed to be the driver.
