A man who was accused of sexually assaulting a 13-year-old boy in Regina in August of 2019 has been acquitted by a jury.
Romeo Morales was arrested Aug. 13, 2019 and charged with sexual assault and sexual interference.
At the time of his arrest, the Regina Police Service said the incident occurred at a business on Sherwood Drive.
Police didn’t identify the business, but a hair salon on that block said on the day of his arrest that Morales no longer worked at the facility.
Morales went on trial last week at the Conexus Arts Centre, where the jury returned a verdict of not guilty on both counts.
