A home invasion during which three women were tied up, held at gunpoint and robbed has resulted in charges against a 25-year-old Regina man.
Police said Friday the incident occurred Wednesday at an apartment in the 700 block of King Street, with officers responding at about 8:30 p.m., to a report of a home invasion.
Police were told that, about an hour earlier, a man had entered the apartment, tied up the victims and pointed what appeared to be a long-barreled rifle at them.
The women weren’t hurt. Police were told the man took the women’s purses and phones before fleeing.
Investigation led to a high-risk vehicle stop Thursday at about 1:30 a.m., in the area of Park Street and 12th Avenue East. Three men were taken into custody, but two were released without charges.
The man is facing with three counts of forcible confinement, two counts of breach of probation and one count each of break and enter with intent to commit an indictable offence, robbery, possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000, breach of undertaking and wearing a disguise with intent to commit an indictable offence.
He made his first court appearance Friday.
