The WHL team lost its second straight game Friday, falling 6-3 to the Edmonton Oil Kings at the Brandt Centre.
So far this season, the Pats have had — in order — a two-game winning streak, a seven-game losing skid, a four-game winning streak and now a two-game skid.
Jacob Boucher scored twice for Edmonton (11-3-2-1), which got its other goals from Dylan Guenther, Logan Dowhaniuk, Josh Williams and Jalen Luypen.
Connor Bedard, with two, and Zane Rowan had goals for the Pats (6-9-0-0).
In Brandon, Nolan Maier made 46 saves to backstop the Saskatoon Blades to a 2-1 victory over the Wheat Kings.
Aidan De La Gorgendiere and Kyle Crnkovic scored for Saskatoon (11-4-1-0), which won its second straight after losing two in a row. Ridly Greig had the lone goal for Brandon (6-10-0-0).
In Swift Current, four straight goals powered the Broncos to a 5-1 victory over the Calgary Hitmen.
Brady Birnie, Sam McGinley, Owen Pickering, Josh Filmon and Rylan Gould scored for Swift Current (5-7-2-1) as it won its third straight. Oliver Tulk had the lone goal for Calgary (5-7-0-0).
In Prince Albert, Ben King had two goals as the Red Deer Rebels handed the Raiders a 4-2 defeat.
Blake Gustafson and Jace Weir also scored for Red Deer (12-6-1-0). Hayden Pakkala and Nolan Allen replied for Prince Albert (5-9-0-1).
