Things started well for the Regina Pats on Saturday, but the good times didn’t last.
Tanner Howe opened the scoring for Regina against the Lethbridge Hurricanes at the Brandt Centre, but the visitors scored the next six goals en route to a 6-1 WHL victory.
The Pats’ third straight loss dropped their record to 6-10-0-0.
Trevor Thurston, Jett Jones, Logan Wormald, Logan Barlage, Ty Nash and Justin Hall had the goals for the Hurricanes (6-9-0-0).
In Winnipeg, the Eastern Conference-leading Ice downed the Saskatoon Blades 4-1.
Matthew Savoie, Cole Muir, Connor McClennon and Mikey Milne scored for the Ice (16-1-0-0). Tristen Robins had the lone goal for Saskatoon (11-5-1-0).
In Moose Jaw, Simon Kubicek scored the only goal of the shootout as the Edmonton Oil Kings downed the Warriors 4-3.
Jalen Luypen, Carter Souch and Jacob Boucher scored in regulation time for the Oil Kings (12-3-2-1), who rallied from a 3-1 deficit.
Martin Rysavy, with two, and Brayden Yager had goals in regulation time for Moose Jaw (6-8-0-1).
In Swift Current, Dallyn Peekeekoot had a pair of goals in the Prince Albert Raiders’ 4-1 victory over the Broncos.
Evan Herman and Tyson Laventure also scored for the Raiders (6-9-0-1). Owen Pickering replied for the Broncos (5-8-2-1), whose streak of games with at least one point ended at four.
