Two teens have been charged after a bullet went through the bedroom wall of a home in the Washington Park neighbourhood early Saturday.
The Regina Police Service said officers responded at about 12:40 a.m., to the area of the 700 block of Garnet Street. A caller said he had heard a loud bang and then saw a hole in the wall right beside him.
Investigators determined the bullet had come from a neighbouring house. In that house, officers found and arrested two suspects and also found a gun and ammunition.
A 16-year-old girl and a 14-year-old boy were charged with possession of an unauthorized firearm, careless storage of a firearm, possession of a prohibited or restricted firearm with ammunition, reckless discharge of a firearm and possession of a firearm contrary to prohibition.
The teens can’t be named under the Youth Criminal Justice Act. They made their first court appearances Monday.
