The International Trade Centre on the grounds of Evraz Place is getting a new name.
The facility will be known as the Viterra International Trade Centre (VITC) for at least the next 10 years after a naming rights agreement was announced Thursday.
Viterra North America’s CEO, Kyle Jeworski, spoke about the renewed partnership with Regina Exhibition Association Limited (REAL).
“The Viterra International Trade Centre will continue to act as a setting for world-class agricultural shows as well as other events that will bring people together and support Regina’s reputation as a great place to do business,” Jeworski said.
The VITC opened to the public in 2017, the final building built to connect every facility on the REAL campus aside from Mosaic Stadium.
“REAL and Viterra have been fixtures in Regina for more than 100 years,” said Tim Reid, president and CEO of REAL. “A partnership like this is only natural as we look to build our campus and Regina’s place as the centre for agriculture and innovation in Canada.”
The cost of the deal was not released.
