Three more cases of COVID-19 have been detected at Ecole Centennial Community School, bringing the total at the school in the past week to 12.
On Wednesday, Regina Public Schools said a Grade 2 and 3 classroom at the northwest Regina school was to move to remote instruction Thursday, with a return to school planned for Dec. 7.
In the media release Thursday outlining the new cases, the school division said students in that classroom won’t return until Dec. 8, provided they’re symptom-free.
“Parents will have been contacted by teachers regarding details for remote learning,” the division’s release said. “We remind everyone entering schools to monitor for any signs or symptoms of COVID-19.”
Since Nov. 1, Regina Public Schools has reported 41 cases at 23 of its schools. The Regina Catholic School Division has announced 29 cases at 11 schools in the same time period.
