9:30 – Warman resident Auryn Kucheran has been running a massive Christmas light display for a few years, and this year his neighbours decided to duplicate his display… sort of. In an example of working smarter, not harder, the neighbours erected a simple sign reading “Ditto” with an arrow pointing to Kucheran’s house. Kucheran joins Gormley to tell us more about his big display and the humorous reactions.

10:00 – Rose Botting’s mother Frances Sander died after suffering a fall at a Rosetown care home in 2018, just two days after she moved in. 10:30 – Last week, the Government of Saskatchewan launched its “Take a Break” campaign, encouraging young people to disconnect from screens and social media. According to numbers quoted by the Province, three quarters of parents are concerned with how much time their children are spending on social media and 36% of 10- to 13-year-olds are on electronic devices for more than three hours every day. Dr. Jean Twenge has written extensively on the potential harms done to young minds by screens and social media, and she joins Gormley to discuss the campaign and how to break our addictions to technology. Do you make a special effort to disconnect and limit the time you spend staring at screens? Call 1-877-332-8255 and let us know!
