An alleged incident of impaired driving hit home for a Regina man Monday.
The 27-year-old was taken to hospital for treatment just before 2:30 a.m., after a vehicle hit a building in the 2800 block of 25th Avenue. The impact pushed some of the outside wall and a window into an apartment and onto the man who was sleeping inside.
When police officers arrived, they found a 23-year-old man standing beside a vehicle that had hit the building. He was charged with impaired driving causing bodily harm and exceeding .08.
The man was released on an undertaking to appear in Regina Provincial Court on Jan. 13.
