Mission Ridge Winter Park opens for winter

Mission Ridge Winter Park in Fort Qu’Appelle opened Saturday for people interested in hitting the slopes.

Anders Svenson, the business manager and part-owner of Mission Ridge, joined the Greg Morgan Morning Show on Tuesday to express his excitement for the season.

“We’ve got all kinds of stuff for people to do for the winter, that’s for sure,” he said.

People who visited Mission Ridge last year might notice some changes.

“We just put up a new building to make sure that people had a place to get out of the wind and enjoy their day,” Svenson said.

“The resort looks a bit different than it did last year for those who were out here last year. But as always, I think it’s probably best to take the time to visit the website before you come. There’s a great deal of information available there.

“On New Year’s Eve, we’re going to have night skiing and, for the first time ever, night tubing. That’s going to be exciting.”
