Investigators have determined there wasn’t a criminal aspect to the death of a man whose body was found Monday in a burned-out house in Regina.
The Regina Police Service made the announcement Wednesday in conjunction with the Saskatchewan Coroners Service.
Firefighters and police were called to a house fire in the 1600 block of Montreal Street on Monday shortly before 5:30 a.m.
After bringing the fire under control, firefighters found the man’s body inside the house. The police and coroner then started a death investigation.
The man’s name is not being released by police.
The cause of the fire is under investigation by Regina Fire and Protective Services.
