More adult players are now investing in the protective equipment.
A pair of home-and-home sets in the SJHL have been postponed.
The league said players may have been in close contact with positive COVID-19 cases, with the move made under precautionary measures.
The postponements will “provide more time for extra testing to ensure the safety and health of everyone and the return to the communities,” according to a league release.
The games affected are a home-and-home series between the Flin Flon Bombers and La Ronge Ice Wolves on Friday and Saturday, along with a home-and-home between the Estevan Bruins and Weyburn Red Wings scheduled for Thursday and Saturday.
New dates haven’t been determined yet.
