The Regina Catholic School Division has sent letters to some families at 13 of its schools, notifying them of positive COVID-19 cases at those institutions.
According to the division’s website, five cases were reported at each of Miller Comprehensive and Michael A. Riffel high schools. The Miller cases were in addition to the eight at that school that were announced Wednesday.
There also were three cases at Archbishop M.C. O’Neill Catholic High School, two each at St. Augustine, St. Bernadette and St. Josaphat schools, and one at each of Dr. Martin LeBoldus Catholic High School, St. Angela Merici, St. Dominic Savio, St. Kateri Tekakwitha, St. Matthew, St. Nicholas and St. Timothy schools.
The Catholic division has reported 48 cases at 17 of its schools since Saturday.
Later Thursday, Regina Public Schools issued a list of 25 schools where cases had been reported.
Campbell Collegiate had the most cases, with 15. That raised the school’s total this month to 22.
Thom (seven cases), Johnson (three), Sheldon-Williams (three) and Winston Knoll (two) were the other high schools that reported multiple infections.
The Crescents, W.S. Hawrylak and Campus Regina Public each had two cases, while single cases were reported at Argyle, Henry Braun, Ruth M. Buck, Centennial, Connaught, Douglas Park, Grant Road, Glen Elm, Lakeview, Gladys McDonald, Marion McVeety, Ethel Milliken, Dr. A.E. Perry, Ruth Pawson, Plainsview, W.F. Ready and Wilfrid Walker elementary schools.
Regina Public Schools has announced 82 cases at 30 of its facilities this month.
