Moose Jaw police have charged a man after a woman reported she was held against her will at a motel and assaulted with a wrench.
Police said they received the report around 3:52 a.m. Wednesday.
The woman reported she was being held at a local motel for several hours and was assaulted with a wrench.
The woman received minor injuries.
After an investigation, police arrested and charged 29-year-old Richard Ryan Whitford, of Edmonton, with assault with a weapon and forcible confinement.
Whitford appeared before the courts and was released on strict conditions with a future court date in May.
