Two more Regina public school classrooms are to shift to online instruction next week.
In a media release Friday, Regina Public Schools said COVID-19 cases were sending the Jr. FIAP classroom at W.F. Ready School and the Grade 5-6 classroom at Lakeview School online starting Tuesday. Students are off Monday for a PD day.
The W.F. Ready students are to return to class Jan. 24 if they’re symptom-free, with those in the Lakeview classroom to return the following day.
The division also reported new cases had been detected at Arcola, Henry Braun, Judge Bryant, Ruth M. Buck, Centennial, Connaught, The Crescents, Grant Road, Dr. L.M. Hanna, Harbour Landing, W.S. Hawrylak, Henry Janzen, George Lee, MacNeill, Jack MacKenzie, McDermid, Gladys McDonald, McLurg, Marion McVeety, Ethel Milliken, Elsie Mironuck, Ruth Pawson, Plainsview, Walker and Wascana Plains elementary schools.
There also were cases reported by the public division at Balfour, Campbell, Johnson, Martin, Scott, Sheldon-Williams and Thom high schools.
The Regina Catholic School Division sent letters to families at numerous schools about positive cases, including 12 at Miller Comprehensive Catholic High School and 10 at Michael A. Riffel Catholic High School.
So far in January, the division has reported 55 cases at Miller and 48 at Riffel.
Cases also were reported at Deshaye, St. Jerome, St. Gregory, St. Bernadette, St. Angela, St. Mary, St. Timothy, St. Josaphat, St. Matthew, St. Gabriel, St. Dominic, St. Catherine, St. Marguerite, St. Michael, St. Elizabeth, St. Augustine, St. Pius, Sacred Heart, St. Luke, St. Peter and St. Francis elementary schools and at O’Neill and LeBoldus high schools.
