The RCMP is searching for a 39-year-old man from the Tribune area who went missing at the height of Monday’s storm.
In a media release Tuesday, the Mounties said they got a call Monday at about 9 p.m., that Abraham Neufeld was missing. He had been driving a tractor near Tribune when the tractor apparently got stuck.
The RCMP believes Neufeld became disoriented while walking to his nearby home. His tractor was found running Tuesday morning about three-quarters of a mile east of Tribune.
Tribune is about 50 kilometres south of Weyburn.
The Weyburn RCMP, RCMP Police Dog Services, Ministry of Environment conservation officers and members of the RCMP Search and Rescue team are searching for Neufeld.
“We recognize people want to help, and at this time, due to this co-ordinated effort and the fact there is still only 30 feet or less of visibility at the search area, police stress they are not seeking the general public’s assistance with the immediate searches,” the RCMP release said.
Anyone who has seen Neufeld is asked to call the Weyburn RCMP at 1-306-848-4640.
