Marcel Anthony Sentes, 43, was sent to hospital March 5 after what police called “a brutal physical assault” at a house in the 1000 block of Rae Street.
A suspect subsequently was identified and was arrested Saturday in connection with the aggravated assault. On Sunday, police were told Sentes had died in hospital and the suspect, 34-year-old Tresen Catlin Todd Sutherland, was charged with second-degree murder.
Sutherland made his first court appearance on Monday.
