8:30 – Jean Charest, Canada’s former deputy prime minister and the premier of Quebec from 2003-2012, has thrown his hat into the ring to replace Erin O’Toole as leader of the Conservative Party of Canada. Charest joins Gormley to tell us about his platform, why he feels he’s the right man for the job, and his thoughts on the confidence agreement announced yesterday between the Liberal government and the NDP.

10:00 – In 2019, writer art historian Maya Asha McDonald, originally from Gimli, Manitoba, was invited to a black tie dinner in Moscow where she sat across from Russian President Vladimir Putin and discussed art and Russian art history. Just 22 years old at the time, McDonald said the experience was surreal, and she joins Gormley to tell us what she thought of Putin and why his dinnertime conversation left her worried for the survival of Ukraine’s artistic and cultural history.
