It will be a happy Easter in the Nunnelly household. Adreen Nunnelly won the Feb. 1, $1 million dollar Lotto 6/49 guaranteed prize draw.
The lucky winner told Saskatchewan Lotteries she knew she won big, but had to check the numbers a couple times over.
“I checked the numbers on the WCLC website,” she said. “I kept staring at the numbers, but it didn’t register. It was pretty unbelievable!”
Nunnelly plans to visit her son in Calgary for the Easter holiday. She originally was going to surprise him, but ended up telling him and will be on her way this weekend.
She plans to also take a trip to Las Vegas to see Brooks & Dunn, a trip to Arizona, and also plans to renovate her home.
On top of all the things she listed to do, she says the winnings will also let her spend more time with family.
“How does it get any better than that?” she said.
Nunnelly purchased her winning ticket at the Sooper B’s Esso on Highway 1 in Grenfell, Sask.
