8:30 – The inquiry into the Trudeau government’s use of the Emergencies Act to clear the convoy protests in Ottawa is already facing strong criticism. According to Blacklock’s Reporter, Cabinet relied on reports from CBC on foreign funding for the convoy that turned out to be false, and Public Safety Minister Marco Mendicino repeated false claims that protesters tried to burn town an Ottawa apartment. 12:00 – After getting repeatedly slammed by snowfall, southeastern Saskatchewan is now facing a flooding risk. According to the Water Security Agency, a rapid melt this week could produce localized flooding in the region, with the area of concern stretching from Highway 1 south to the US border, and from Highway 46 east to Manitoba. Fred Bradshaw is Minister Responsible for Water Security Agency, and he joins Gormley to tell us about the flood risk and give us a sense of spring runoff around the province.
