An alleged drunk driver took on two trees and a lot of grass during a wild ride early Thursday.
Regina police said they were called to the 3900 block of Second Avenue for a report that a truck had driven into a yard and hit a tree. The truck then went west on Second — and hit another tree.
Officers tried to stop the truck, but the driver took off and drove through another front yard before stopping in a construction zone.
The driver got out of the truck and tried to run, but he was taken down by a police dog. The suspect suffered minor injuries.
A 35-year-old Regina man was charged with flight from a peace officer, impaired operation of a vehicle by alcohol, failure or refusal to comply with a demand, and breach of conditions.
He made his first court appearance Thursday.
