Saskatchewan Premier Scott Moe has a 51 per cent approval rating, according to the latest premier approval poll by the Angus Reid Institute, a right-leaning think tank.
Moe’s rating was the second-highest among provincial premiers. It was beaten only by Nova Scotia’s Tim Houston, who scored a 62 per cent approval rating.
Next in line were B.C.’s John Horgan with 48 per cent, newly re-elected Ontario Premier Doug Ford with 45 per cent, Quebec’s Francois Legault with 44 per cent and Newfoundland and Labrador’s Andrew Furey with 40 per cent.
On the lower side of the approval ratings, New Brunswick’s Blaine Higgs sat at 33 per cent in the survey, and bringing up the rear were Alberta’s Jason Kenney at 32 per cent and Manitoba’s Heather Stefanson at just 23 per cent.
Data from Prince Edward Island and the territories were not included in the poll due to small sample sizes. The entire poll drew from a sample of 5,032 Canadians.
Moe’s popularity was unchanged from the previous Angus Reid premier approval survey, which was published last quarter.
