Another teenager has been charged with first-degree murder in Regina.
Police were called to an alley on Rae Street early Wednesday morning and found a 14-year-old boy dead. They also found an injured 32-year-old woman who was taken to hospital by paramedics.
After an investigation by the Major Crimes Unit, police arrested a 15-year-old boy. He’s now facing a number of charges, including first-degree murder, assault with a weapon and discharging a firearm recklessly.
Now, police have charged a 17-year-old man in connection with the case.
The suspect is facing a handful of charges, including first-degree murder, assault with a weapon and unauthorized possession of a gun in a vehicle.
Neither of the suspects’ names can be released due to a stipulation in Canada’s Youth Criminal Justice Act.
The boy is Regina’s sixth murder victim of 2022.
