When a fire alarm goes off, usually it’s because of a fire.
But that wasn’t the case Tuesday in Moose Jaw.
In a news release, police said they were called to an apartment building on High Street, just a couple blocks away from Mosaic Place.
A fire alarm had gone off, but there weren’t any flames when they showed up.
Instead, officers found a man who had been shot. He was seriously hurt and needed medical attention.
Officers found a suspect on the scene, a 34-year-old man. They allegedly found a gun on him and made the arrest.
He’s charged with attempted murder.
Meanwhile, the 44-year-old victim was seriously hurt, but police expect him to live.
