The Regina Police Service is asking for the public’s help as it investigates an assault with a weapon.
According to police, a 36-year-old Regina man is in hospital with serious injuries after the incident.
A media release said officers responded Wednesday just before 5 a.m., to the 2200 block of 14th Avenue for a report of an injured man.
Officers found the victim, whom police said “had sustained injuries consistent with a violent assault with a weapon.” The release didn’t say what type of weapon was used.
“Investigators will not be able to interview the victim during this time,” the police release said. “In the interim, investigators are working to gather any information or physical evidence that might help solve this crime.”
