A 15-year-old boy has been charged after three robberies involving food delivery people in Regina.
Police said Friday one of the robberies occurred July 4 (in the 20 block of McGillivray Crescent) and two happened July 5 (both in the 4000 block of Second Avenue North). All three involved the use of bear spray.
“Although there were similarities in the cases leading police to suspect the crimes were related, it was not until further into the investigations that a potential suspect was identified,” the police said in a release.
The teen was arrested Thursday and charged with three counts of armed robbery using a restricted firearm or prohibited firearm, and three counts of wearing a disguise with intent to commit an indictable offence.
The boy, who can’t be named under provisions of the Youth Criminal Justice Act, appeared in court Friday.
